Getting Off The Line Quick Help Please!

Gonna run my 99Z tonight. Thsi is the first itme I have ever ran at a track. I ahve an automatic transmission and I am looking for tip son getting off the line quick. I have been told to power brake until the wheels are ready to turn then at the last yellow floor it. Any other tips or ideas?

If you have street tires, make SURE you don't go through the water box. Just drive around it. If you go through it you'll have traction issues. Hopefully your tires will hook up otherwise you might have to ease it to the throttle, just try different things and you'll figure it out!

Best way to launch your a4 is to lower your psi on your stock tires at about 25psi. Burn them a bit to get them clean get to the line power brake to about 900-1000rpm and when the 3rd yellow lights up ease into the throttle till it is all the way to the floor.

This has got me 2.0 60ft with BFG compT/A's

don't lower the pressure in your stock tires at all. keep them at what they are suppose to be at. the side walls on stock tires are very stiff if you lower the pressure then you might lose tread in the center because it will cave in. the only thing you can really do is rear tires psi keep normal. front tires put as much air as you can whatever the max is. and drive around the water box but churp your tires to clear them of dirt. good luck

Actually, Lowering the rear tire air pressure to 25 is not that bad for running the quarter. Running around 10-20 psi is BAD.
You'll be fine with 25 but try to run with your normal pressure first and if you spin, THEN lower the pressure and try again.

I do agree with the advice for the front tires though...put as much as the max is recommended. I used to run 42 psi.
