romanss 03-29-2003, 07:30 PM I was glad to go along for the ride. Or is that along for the drive? Or just plain old drive? LOL.;)
Hopefully I'll be blabbing about the same kind of stuff very soon.

transamtom 03-29-2003, 08:15 PM Taner, when I read that I thought WTF it was raining:eek: I was thinking you drove there opposite lock;)
Good to hear shes running good,I have not given up hope of getting the day off and might be at St.Thomas Saturday :D
Brett H 03-30-2003, 12:05 AM Taner what does ARE charge for a tune? I need to do something to find out what in the hell is wrong with my car it lacks balls lately:mad:
Chris Ja 03-30-2003, 02:51 AM Taner do they do any 3rd gen chip dyno tuning? I won the high bid tonight on a supercharger and will need my chip reburnt after it is installed. Maybe I will call them monday. Glad to hear you picked up some HP. Now stop so I can catch up.hahaha Like that is going to happen.:D
taner 03-30-2003, 09:47 AM Chris,
you are going to have to change your sig, lmao!!!!! i don't know if they do that type of tuning?
Brett,
cost of my tune was already included in my previous bill.
i was amazed how quickly kevin had everything dialed in.
Chris Ja 03-30-2003, 03:31 PM Taner clear your PM box. I need to send you a PM.
taner 03-30-2003, 09:57 PM chris,
i cleared a couple of things out for you to leave a message as well.
PhantomTA 03-30-2003, 09:59 PM boo ARE
Redbird 03-31-2003, 05:33 PM Chris JA... YOU been shopping ebay too, huh?? KOOL!!!
Tan-Man... YOU are the only one better than me who can intice someone into a post! I was gonna suggest you vent the N2O purge tube to the OUTSIDE of the car!! ;)
NOW: What is a more N2O friendly camshaft? What does the N2O like? To keep the valves open longer or higher??
HInk
Capn Pete 03-31-2003, 07:09 PM I could be wrong, but doesn't Agostino's charge around $500 to do a base-line dyno pull, then some custom tuning, then another dyno pull after the tuning?? I can't remember exactly, but I asked them about that a while ago:think:. I'm sure it would be less ($200?? ) just for a straight dyno pull or two though?!
BTW: those are some awesome dyno #'s you got!! And what track do you normally run at?? So far I've only ever been to Cayuga 2 or 3 times, and Shannonville once. I've heard though that Grand Bend is supposed to be a really good track?? And where's St.Thomas? Is it a good track? THX for any info:cool:.
taner 03-31-2003, 08:22 PM Cap'n Pete,
thanks! normally at st.thomas, sometimes grand bend, and even milan dragway in michigan. yes, grand bend is awesome!!!!!! so is midmichigan motorplex in stanton, mi.
st.thomas is outside of london.
HInk,
ha ha ha! i thought i was supposed to purge in the car, so no one could see i had nitrous.
hmmmm, a little of both....
Capn Pete 03-31-2003, 10:24 PM Sorry, one more Q:rolleyes::
How far from Toronto are Grand Bend and St. Thomas?? I've heard that Grand Bend is about 3 hours (or a little less? ) but how far would you say from either of the tracks to T.O.??
Thanks again..................I'd like to try somewhere different this year;).
taner 03-31-2003, 10:34 PM i would say that courtice/bowmanville is a good 3 hours to either track. check out www.stthomasdragway.com or www.grandbendmotorplex.com
Capn Pete 03-31-2003, 10:53 PM Cool, thanks!;)
Tom (transamtom) e-mailed me the link for St. Thomas. I think I'll probably have to take a weekend and go to both tracks --- one on Friday night and the other on Saturday (or Fri/Sat/Sun?!:D). I only made it to the track twice with my new car last year, and ran a best of 14.008 @ 102.99 (stock:rolleyes: ) so once I do the gears, hopefully I'll be running a more respectable 13.something?!.
Well, maybe I'll see you guys at the track some weekend:cool:.
Thx for the info:).
taner 03-31-2003, 11:26 PM the nice thing about stthomas is it never gets busy, sometimes traction is iffy but oh well. at least you carn make as many passes as you want.
grand bend GREAT traction but maybe only 3 to 4 runs! doh!
keep an eye on this section and you'll see postings for when and where we will be racing.

also dont forget aboutTMP (www.torontomotorsportspark.com) It is only about 90 minutes from Courtice.
Also lots of guys from Ajax,Whitby,Oshawa and Courtice post in the Greatlakes forum at www.ls1.com/forums
Redbird 04-01-2003, 10:32 AM Grand Bend is one of IHRA'a better tracks, you know... the big National Event type track.
St. Thomas is more your grass roots type track, one that reminds me alot of how the tracks were in the 70's-80's.
A nice shady place to race/picnic though!
Cauga... never been... I try to stay out of that foreign country as much as possible. Especially since one time after we all had raced, we parked in the GB Police station and went to supper. You Canadian boyz were getting tickets left and right for no plates on the front. He looked at my car and asked where my plate was. I just told him I was from MICH. and didn't need one!!
BOY THAT COP WAS HOT!!!
HInk:D :)

Yeah, good for you?!  I wish we didn't have to run with front plates here:(. I love how CAMARO is written behind the front plate and we can't even have it exposed:mad:.
Thanks for the info on the tracks guys:cool:.
rock1501: I've been to Toronto Motorsports Park (aka: Cayuga) before, but I was not too sure about St. Thomas or Grand Bend.................never been there, but I'm thinking I should go this year;).

I refuse to put on my front plate. So far I have only gotten one ticket for it in 3 years.:D;)
So how goes the car HInk? Almost done?
taner 04-01-2003, 09:46 PM hmmmm i bought my wifes car in the states, and i still haven't put the plate holder on yet....my bad ;)
Brett H 04-02-2003, 12:05 AM I drove around for a few weeks with the T/A plate cover on until somebody stole it
