Is there any steel spring wedges out there?

I have broken my second set of spring wedges last weekend. The ones I have are aluminum. I was wondering if there are any steel wedges out there?

I might pull the rearend and take it to a chassis shop to get new spring perches welded on with the correct angle if I cannot find any stronger spring wedges.

Thanks,
Sean

I assume you're using them to adjust pinion angle.

That's a good question. I haven't owned a leaf spring car in a while but I know there are steel ones out there somewhere.

What they of device are you using to control the spring wrap-up? Slappers? SLide-link? Once such a device engages it should stop outting stress on the shim. What have you tried as far as suspension adjustment so far?

I have Global West L2 leaf springs and caltrac bars. I have been through 2 sets of shims so far. I have a manual tranny as well that means I am not nice to my driveline!:)

Thanks man, I will try to get on the hunt for some steel shims.
