what are the requirements for roll bar padding ?

What are the requirements for roll bar padding with a 6 pt cage?

Is there a thickness required ?

Any SFI ratings required ?

Does only the top of the roll bar near your head need to be padded ?

Straight from the 2003 rulebook:

Roll bar must be padded anywhere driver's helmet may contact it while in the driving position. Adequate padding must have a minimum 1/4 inch compression or meet SFI spec. 45.1 All cars running 180 MPH or faster SFI spec. 45.1 mandatory.
