Suspension parts

posted March 28, 2003 02:46 PM
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ill go ahead and list what ive got...
BMR 32mm front 21mm rear solid sway bars
BMR boxed double diamond subframe connectors
BMR LCA's with drop brackets
Adjustable panhard rod
BMR torque arm
Hotchkis lowering springs 1"
Stock replacement shocks
BMR strut tower brace
All suspension bushings are poly urethane

Now in the future I may go to an autocross or road racing event but most of my time will be spent on the street. I still need wheels and tires which I havent decided on. My question is basically what do I need to change or add to make my car handle even better? Are the springs I have any good, I would rather have progressive to keep the nice street manners? I dont want to throw a bunch of aftermarket parts together I sort of want to know how to match everythign together so it works well like sway bar size and spring rates and such (any suggestions on this in particular?). So far the global west traclink along with a torsion t2r diff have been suggested. What about shocks, whats good and do I want adjustable?

Wink

I would definetly suggest some shocks. Bilstein makes a good peice. Stay away from KYB(sp?) shocks. They were my first choice a while ago and regretted it everyday i drove on them. A tourqe arm might be another good mod to look into, I know BMR makes a good peice. I've heard good things about global west track link bar or something. Don't know much about it though so I'd look into it before spending all that money. Best of luck.

as far as i know, bilsteins are not adjustable, but you can have the valving matched to your springs by someone like Strano...

or you could fork over the $$$ for koni, either single or double adjustables...

How much are Koni's? I know they are terribly expensive but I never see them advertised anywhere.

Sorry about suggesting something you arleady had, missed it!
