why doesnt my car have the "firebird" bird on the front bumper?

every 'bird/trans am I see has the raised firbird on the front bumper, but my car doesnt. any ideas why?

previous owner probably removed it. i'm taking mine off when i repaint my front end.

oh, so its removoable? I always though it was like molded to the bumper. I'm gonna go with the idea that its been removed since the sie molding and badges are off also

Even if it was molded the previous owner could have sanded it down

when I got my new bumper it did not have the bird on the front,

I don't know about the T/A's but the front bumper cover could have been damaged and a new bumper cover was put on. I spun out in my Z one time and the lower front bumper cover was damaged from hitting some rocks. When I got the new one it had no emblems on it.

The bird sticks to the front bumper. It could have gotten brittle and fallen off or been removed for various reasons. I believe a new one ready to stick on from GM runs about 18 bucks.
