When tuner kids buy a Camaro

Check out this on Ebay.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Chevr...fCarsQ5fTrucks

And it's a 6 cylinder with dual exhaust to boot.

yeah, that poor car, what a bad color combo too. Imagine how much money is into that thing and how little it is worth, i would think a collector would like to have it though just to appreciate the amount of work that is into it.

yes, its way over done, but whats wrong with dual exhaust tips? you do know it was a factory option.

From picture 1, I was going "gee, some better wheels, and it wouldn't look TOO awful. interesting paint scheme."

Then I saw the rest. No thanks.

Just about everybody who wins car shows with their 5th gen Camaro has just about as much junk changed on their car now-a-days, but they are doing it more subtle. Like starting with a black car and then spending $10k on a different grill, spoiler, engine cover, exhaust, radiator cap cover, and other assorted stuff. I usually don't like these changes, but sometimes they are good.

I really prefer these cars to appear stock. And when people change things, it usually looks better if it could/should have come that way from the factory in the first place (calipers that say CAMARO are the first things that come to my mind). Other than the dual exhaust on the car above, there's really nothing that looks that much better. Most of it looks like it was changed just for the sake of changing it.

This still remains one of the most tastefully modified 4th gens I've ever seen:

It's owned by somebody who joined this message board, but these pics were from ebay. I'm unsure of their name here, but I know he joined here after buying it. It has a lot of standard F1 upgrades, but the subtle things that were changed are really amazing. The obvious things like the interior reupholstery are great, but check out the minor things, like painting the T-top divider to work better with the stripes and the little triangle behind the window being two-tone. I'm not a fan of RKsport's center exhaust, but it's a period-correct mod, and was the only CME at the time, so it's still cool. The engine has a LOT of changes, but it isn't overboard and looks great to me. I just really like the overall "art" of the car. The red visors and headliner even, just such a great detail and upgrade. It really looks like a show car without looking like somebody intentionally made something different just so somebody would instantly know the car has been repainted or changed.

sorry if any one took offense to that didn't mean it that way...its just a big scene out here..just saying it isn't any thing new..we have a lot of car shows out here and it pops up all the time I'm just pointing it out that not only are they gonna use imports but anything else because everyone has they're own taste..us Asians do it all the time with our "ricers" and the bash will continue between domestics and imports but I'm sure thats left out all the time because its proposed to be the norm. If you see a scraped out 'maro on 26's and hi-jacked I'm sure if someone got a hold of some pictures it would be a common suggestion that its related to an area and a certain race not gonna point any fingers since everyone is a little sensitive.

have a pick at who you think has created these cars

yes pick based on RACE and ETHNICITY!

MODS delete if you must but this is a statement in fairness to me and my ignorant post, if yourselves divulge in not being so ignorant than let this run its course and then lock and throw away the key.

This thread isn't based on ethnicity. Its based about a Camaro that looks way different from the stock. Plus this is an Appearance section of the forum. The website is also about Camaros not ethnicity.

so my post was doggin on ethnicity? I never intended it to be and it never was I pointed out what I saw based on my opinions and I wasn't doggin on any race if I did than i definitely would have bashed them for being what ever there race was but thats far from it...it just so happens to be that I see that on a daily basis where I'm at. And because I used "Latinos" and "African Americans" doesnt mean I'm doggin there race. it was just an input and if freedom of speech is deprived of in this forum then fine put that as part of the policy.

Again I NEVER dogged any race I stated the obvious.
