What are the THREE 4th gens you wished you owned
If you're like me, you really wish you had a really special 4th gen Camaro or Firebird. What are the three (okay.. let's keep it under 5), that you REALLY wish you could have? Let's hear about your dream Camaro/Firebird!
Provide a pic of the exact car if it's a really specific one. If you already own your dream car, tell us why it's your dream car. If it's a specific color, or has a specific body kit, or something else, make sure to post a pic of it or describe it. If it's a rare factory or aftermarket car, tell us why you like it so much, and wish you could afford to hunt it down. If it's just the most powerful/fast 4th gen you've built in your dreams, tell us the details of what mods you'd use.
I'll post pics of mine later tonight or tomorrow. I'm going to have to use photoshop to recolor one of them to be my "dream," and locate pics of my other dreamcars, so I can't go first.
This topic could be really epic and fun like some of the past topics if you go into detail, so try to spend more than 2 minutes making your post. I wanna see pics and read details!

I already own one of them, well sort of. i always loved the black 96-97 WS6 but found a much better deal on my 95 and decided to add the airbox and hood and my own version of 17" wheels.
another would be an 01-02 SOM WS6 or Firehawk. I think that is the best looking color on the late model fbody besides black.
and the 3rd would probably be a black 98-02 WS6. what can i say? Burt Reynolds said it best (in smokey and the bandit 2) "Black is beautiful"

Ok, here are mine. I didn't have time to photoshop the C8 as good as I wanted to, but with the size of this pic, maybe you can't tell I did it quickly.
1. Callaway C8 -- In my dreams, I'd have one of these repainted in a color I jokingly called Brangeta Blue Metallic. It's kind of like Nassau Blue, but I added teal to it. Technically, it's not based on anything, but a mix of a color I liked I made in photoshop years ago, that I now use on a lot of things.
Mine would have the SuperNatural 450 engine (450 hp), the Brembo brakes, OZ Monte Carlo wheels (preferably chrome), Callaway leather interior, no wood accent package, and custom hidden exhaust that doesn't stick out from the rear bumper.
I know C8s are love-or-hate, but I love them, so I'd have one in my dream garage.
Better (yet older) representation of my idea:
2. '97 Bright Purple Metallic Z28 -- Rare color, only 883 Camaros made in this color in '97 and most were base Camaros or RSes. I'd definitely want the factory black leather (ok, it's graphite or ebony, let's not get picky here with names lol). I'd want the car more or less stock, but would be open to putting some dark graphite wheels on it.
3. '96 Bright Teal Metallic SS -- 1 of the 77 made, I'd want one with all the SLP options possible, especially including the dual exhaust. I don't like how the '96 SSes came with dual-side-exit exhaust standard. I'd want the car factory stock, with SLP options.
4. '96 Medium Quasar Blue Metallic Z28 -- This was always my favorite color as a kid, and I like the '93-'96 dash a little better than '97+. This was the only year chrome salad shooters were an option, and not many cars were optioned with them. Only 4,871 had them. I'd want it with black leather of course, and factory stock. Just for convenience, this one would definitely be an automatic.
5. One of the 2002 ZL1s in '69 Lemans Blue Metallic -- Prefer a phase 3 with the 600 hp. I wouldn't be too picky though. I just wouldn't want one with the Cragar wheels. I like the one's below just fine.

I really just want the one I have.
I hope to build it up as an all-around ground pounder with the following:
* a rev-happy big-inch all-aluminum NA LS motor with fully forged internals (427ci? 454? I don't know yet, but BIG and with a mountain of low-end torque)
* 12-bolt, Dana 60, or 9" out back with ~3.23:1 gears (or similar)
* C5 Z06 gearset in the T56 for some extra gear off the line (overall ratio in first with 3.23s would be about halfway between 3.42s and 3.73s, which should be more than enough gear to go fast with the power I'm thinking of).
* McLeod street twin clutch for excellent grip while retaining drivability
* capable of high 11s at the strip without anything drag-specific except a set of Nitto 555R tires in the back
* full tubular suspenion including k-member and subframe connectors for reduced weight plus added strength and rigidity
* Koni double-adjustable shocks and a set of nice lowering springs.
* Lightweight forged wheels.
* A high-end (Baer?) brake kit up front, and maybe in the back too.
* Ceramic-coated stainless steel longtube headers.
* a custom true dual exhaust with cats, X-pipe, and Corsa mufflers from one of their Corvette setups.
* A zillion supporting mods to make all of the above work reliably
Appearance wise, I might install an SS spoiler and/or hood, and I'm thinking about doing an HID conversion. Maybe a paint job someday -- at 80,000 miles, there are more than a few dings and scratches -- I'm thinking Lemans Blue Metallic from the C6, or maybe Electron Blue from the C5, but with some extra metal flake for added pop.
I'd also like to do something with the interior. Nicer, more supportive seats in front. Pull the entire Monsoon system and do a custom system with a flush-mounted LCD screen and computer taking both entertainment and HVAC control duties. I'd love to find a way to rig it up so that I could run EFILive (or whatever tuning/logging app) on that computer, so that I'd have datalogging and editing abilities at all times without having to worry about a laptop sliding around in the passenger seat. And finally, I'd rig up one of those tiny webcams into the headliner or something so that it had a clean, unobstructed view ahead, and tie that into the computer too. That way I'd have a video feed to go along with the data log. It'd be really awesome to replace the dash gauges with an LCD display of some sort too.
In the end, it'd be a car that is great at everything (except maybe tire wear ). Fast on the strip, fast at an autocross, fast on a road course, comfortable to cruise in (even for long distances), and it would still get reasonably good gas mileage (I'm thinking 25mpg on the highway should be easy).
I suspect that I'll never do most of the above, but that's my wish.

You know, I just got home and looked at this topic again, and my photoshopping of that C8 sucks! What a pitiful color. I should have started with a silver C8 pic instead of a red one. It looks all wrong. It's like some sort of Chevy Aveo color.
Going to have to redo that when I get time.
EDIT: Ok, found an older pic I did. Here's more of my vision, even though the pic is much lower quality:
And here's an SS I recolored in the same color a few years ago too.
