I don't think the have the same offset. They definately don't have the same P/N. I will post the link that shows the P/N. You could contact American Racing Wheel Company and ask.

Good Luck!

All 4 corners of the 4th Gen's have 5 bolts on a 4.75" circle.... front and rear are the same.

Your post isn't real clear, but it appears you want to put 17x7 on the front, and 17x9.5 on the back.

For the rear, I think the recommended backspace for a 17x9.5" TT II is 7.00". My calculations show a 6.5" BS would put the outer edge of the wheel/tire about the same place as my 17x11 GS offset ZR1's, and that is barely within the fender line when viewed from the top. I would think you would want the 17x9.5's in 1/2" more than that. I can show you pictures of where some of how the various backspaces fit if you want.

As far as the fronts go, I have to assume you want a "skinny" look for the front, and want to get the "drag tire" look, because there is no other reason to go to a 17x7 rim in the front. It will provide a relative imbalance in overall handling, with respect to cornering stability when you put that much mismatch, and a narrower-than-stock wheel on the front. If you plan to run a 205/55ZR17 in the front as a "skinny", that's another story - mostly for looks.

You should be looking at backspace in the range of 4.75 - 5.00". That will put the outside of the wheel/tire almost an inch further out than the stock 16x8 wheel, but still within the fender line. If you want the wheel/tire edge sunk deeper in the wheel well, where your stock 16x8 wheel put it, get a 5.50" BS.

Re: Re: torq thrust II rims---will they fit

Hi Injeener,
I was wondering if you knew if 17x8 American Racing Torq Thrust II"s are available with the correct offset & backspacing for a 4th generation Camaro? I'm in the process of ordering some and the ones they sent either are the wrong offset & backspacing or they don't exist in the size for a 4th generation Camaro. Do you know? I went to the website & on the application guide it only shows a 17x9.5 and a 17x11? I find it hard to believe that those are the only sizes available for a 4th generation Camaro, but all I can seem to find posted w/pics of 4th gen Cam's is ones with 9.5's & 11's. I haven't yet found a pic of one with 8's. But I ordered the rims through a tire co. & they said they called someone at American Racing and they said they had 8's that fit. Well, they set some & they don't. They have tried 3 different sized tires too and they still rub on the frt bumper. Now they are telling me they need to talk to someone in California from AR about this, and they have been waiting for them to call for 3-4 days now. Have you heard/seen 17x8's of the Torq Thrust II's on a 4th gen Cam? Do you know if they have these available with the offset & backspacing that I need? (I think you had mentioned a 4.75 or 5.00 backspacing) Thanks for your time & help. Debbi
