Tinted Taillights w/Night Shades ... Pic INSIDE

i painted the tailights, the middle brake light, and the side markers with nite shades spray tint. Lights shine thru as normal during the daytime ... i like it way better than my taillight covers. I would recommend this to anyone ... heres the pic.. ill try to get more of it soon

ty ... i also forgot to mention that i only used 2 coats on each piece and i still have half a can left ... if you are thinking of taillight covers ... please try Nite Shades first .. i had taillight covers and it was hard to backup at night BUT after i removed the tailight covers and tinted the lenses with NiteShades the light passes thru as it would without the tint and it looks great

It looks great. I wanted to do this since I have used the Nightshades on everything but my tailights but I heard one guy said it was really difficult to get it all even without the stuff running. I have blackouts now but I'm always weary of someone stealing them. Maybe he put to heavy of a coat on? And did you use a clear coat? Did you sand them any first?
Edit: I got mine from the local model shop.

Actually it was quite easy to paint ... i did a real light coat just to see how it would color and how thick it was and i let that dry. Then i did the 2nd coat real even and in straight lines until the taillights got to the darkness that i wanted and then i stopped. To prep the taillights i just cleaned them with some basic cleaning supplies and that was it. No sanding what so ever. Im very happy with the results and if i were you and you wanted to do this, i say go for it

I have ordered the stuff through O'Reilly Auto Parts (if you have one local) a few times - only like $8 bucks a can - way cheaper than $13 + $8 for shipping.

Looks very good Calli!
