sportline front springs with stock rears for a raked look?
I have sportlines front and back right now and I have about 2" of clearance with my exhaust. I'd like a little more clearance so I was thinking of sticking the stock springs back in the rear. It might look pretty cool but who knows. How would this affect performance/ride?

Just my opinon but I say don't do it. With my ground effects I really can't afford to lower my Camaro but I hate the fender gap so I'm buying Ground Control coilovers. They're completely adjustable from 0 to 4". So you can raise and lower the rear end so it'll look just the way you like it and then you can always change it later.

that's a VERY subtle change, IMO, with just the front lowered. It's that rear wheel gap that give it the stocker appearance I think. But if you really look at it...you notice the front's a little lower.

That doesn't look half bad, it just look's stock. Maybe I'll just reweld the exhaust higher (I think I have an inch or so before the x crossover hits the torque arm). I'd hate to loose the look I have now for something that looks stock.

Not sure what springs are on my car, but my front is lowered and the rear is not (bought it this way). Sometimes I like the look, but sometimes I don't. There really is quite a bit of gap. However, put some 28" tires on the back and the gap goes away and it looks badass cause it's raked, but there is no gap in either the front or back.

The amount of clearance that you'll gain in that area is going to be negligable. I was looking for clearance in that same general area, the crossmember for my Spohn torque arm for 4" exhausts (replacement for the tunnel brace). I figured that when I put my 28" ET Streets on it would help me out since I was effectively raising the rear of my car 1" from the ground. The difference in clearance isn't really even noticable, and on the down side, the added rake makes my air dam scrape even more when the suspension rebounds.
