Spinoff: LS1 or LT1 SS Spoiler?

Well that other thread got me thinking, i, along with probably 95% of this board wants an SS spoiler. what do you guys think of the LT1 style, i guess it falls into the realm of a little "different than the norm" as most people want the LS1 style. Plus to get a brand new one for $130 from SLP isnt too shabby (yes i kno it needs to be painted and get hardware for)

Thoughts?

I had an SLP Ultra-Z hood/spoiler on my 4th gen... I think putting SS parts on a non-SS car is silly.

Why? They look better to most people and are tasteful.

I love the LS1 spoiler, but i've seen a couple on LT1's, and im kinda neutral on it. I'm starting to like the LT1 spoiler just because EVERYONE doesnt have it.

Preference I guess, it just makes the SS even less special. Respect the heritage I say.

thats exactly how i feel about it, plus to the above poster who said that its silly to put an SS spoiler on a non-SS car, im not masquerading as an SS, im damn proud to have a Z28. its just that spoiler options are limited, either stock, SS, or some large thing that everyone bashes on as being rice....

Fair enough. My dad has a 97 SS and I'm putting a SS spoiler on my car when I get the damn thing painted. I've always liked the looks of his car and decided I was going to bring mine closer to his.

Now if someone puts SS parts on a car and tries to pass it off as an SS I would strangle them, but I plan on keeping mine clearly badged as a Z28.

My car didn't have a single badge on it after it got painted.

LS1 Style. Thats whats on my car and thats what I like. I think the exagerated lip gives more of a sleek feel to the back half of the car. I wish there were other spoiler options for these cars. I think the LS1 will be the best you'll ever be able to get. There is a reason they are high priced.

I like the contrast between black badging and silver paint.
