Speciffic Question Concerning Factory Foglights

Okay so now that I mounted HID's in my low beams, I'm a little disappointed in my foglights, espically since one is burned out. I really hate anything other than the 100% dead stock look so I'm gonna do something a little crazy.

What I'm going to attempt to do, is mount a 9006 HID kit into the foglights by custom mounting the bulbs and ballasts. If we can silicone 9006 bulbs into our low beams, I'm sure it's possiable to do the same thing for a foglight application. So here's my question:

Do you guys think a 9006 bulb be able to fit into a factory foglight housing? I haven't been able to pull of my fog lights because the weather is too cold and I don't have the proper tools in my own garage.

And yes they will be wired to the factory switch.
