Roots Blower sticking out of hood. Thoughts.
Okay, let me start off by syaing that I absolutely love the look of a supercharger sticking out of the hood. Add to that, I love 3rd gen Camaros. They just got style that appeals to me.
Now, I played around withe the idea of having this look on my 3rd gen, but I just couldn't stop thinking of how awkward it could look. The hood is long on these things, with little charecter, so just the supercharger sticking out with dual carbs on it might feel weird with a bit of empty space up front.
So to challenge that, I thought of putting a 4" cowl induction hood on, but cut a hole through the top for the "money-maker" to be displayed. This would add some style and keep it from unwantingly looking dull.
Image 1 is a photoshopped image. I had to restructure some color sections, and had to totally remove some background to showcase the supercharger. Might not be right to scale, but is closest idea of what this could look like.

Image 2 shows the S/C resting inside the hood, and with a cutaway view to show where the openings are. The object on the right is the hood from above, so it is hard to detail it, but it is mainly to just see the positioning of the opening.

What do you guys think of this idea?

THe cowl hood alone would look good. I think the blower out of the hood on that design would look a little gaudy.. Functional, yes... I do see that. It could also be something that has to be seen in person to appreciate.
It would cut down on visibility on a street car too... That'd be a bit big, IMO.. But it's what ever YOU like..

Wow! Thanks alot man! I am defiinitely going to put the blower on with a small cowl hood now. It just looks so freaking awesome! All I got to do now, is gather the money for the project.
Thanks again!
