Roofs on 99-2002 under S.C.M. is it steel??
Question to all and especialy to these last f body owners.
there seems to be a bubbling issue regarding a sheet of plastic material on our roofs t tops and or hardtops .
Solution i believe ive read is to somehow remove this sheet of s.c.m. plastic type of material panel and reglue a new sheet bought somwhere?
Anyone familiar with this at all?
Now under this sheet of S.C.M. is it steel if anyone knows?
i am new to ownership
thanx

Yes, there is a steel roof structure under the SMC panel. 6LITEREATER offers a reproduction of the rear hoop for t-top cars in both fiberglass and carbon fiber. If you have a hardtop, you're in for a rough ride. The best bet in the case of a hardtop is to cut the entire roof off a 93-97 car, then set about removing the metal from the SMC skin. There is currently no reproduction available for the stock hardtop roof.

Look at Gripenfelters T-Top conversion thread, stickied at the top of this forum topic listing. There are pictures of the metal roof structure.
