you can do just the hood.....I know people who do that type stuff.....

The front hinges need to be a big "J" shape to do it. I don't think it would be worth the time, its not like its a classic car......

I remember seeing a 4th gen with that done.. however cool you may think it is, just imagine from that point on trying to do any work in your engine bay.. it's going to make life alot harder.

What, you mean it could be MORE difficult? hell, anything serious requires dropping the engine anyway.

But seriously, the Vettes have removable panels on the sides and a LOT more room to get to stuff than an Fbody, I think it would make working on the car incredibly difficult.

Why not go pinned liftoff instead?

it's hard I hear to change the spark plugs in 4th gens to begin with. now imagine a huge friggen hood in your way... Yea thats going to be nice. or a water pump change... Most everything is done from the front of the car. i am jsut pointing out the obvious problems with that on a 4th gen.. I can't really comment on every little thing needed Since I have 3rd gens. which has a bit more engine bay room..

You go ahead and do that.... I can just imagine the look of satisfaction on the face of your mechanic when he works on your car.... don't be surprised if his rates have a special increase attached to them just for you.
