Long story short, I bought this BACK from my friend. He destroyed it....

Good thing I work at a bodyshop I had a co worker do all the body work, I did the preping, priming and painting.

It was pretty beat up.

The quarter panels were peppered with dings.









Primer:

Basecoat: The color is Purple Pearl Metallic, I believe it was only available in 93 and 94.





The shiny stuff Put on 3 coats of Diamonts 5300.

Today I started on the door jambs and the core/radiator support.

19 years of a weather strip rubbing on the jamb...

I still have the passenger door jamb to do, the rear hatch jamb and i am planning on por 15 the undercarrige.

Butt dyno it feels great lol. I have yet to take it to the track. It's short shifting under a wot right now. I should be around 6200 I'm around 4600 right now. I need a govenor recal kit and gears. I should be running it in spring.

its a cool color. looks paint looks perfect!

i would rock that color, just can't have it where i live, Manhattan Kansas(k-state wildcats). id look like one of those psycho fans here

You guys did a great job on the paint and body that car was f'd up in the before pics. I've seen a purple pearl in person but pics never really do it justice.

what paint did you use of the black top of car, how did you prep it. Mine the clear coat is peeling off and it needs fixed.

I used base/clear. Diamont brand (basf)
Sanded it with 600 and a red scotchbrite.
