Removing rear area where it says CAMARO

I was looking into buying that part off a black camaro and just swap that in with my old one, but I dont know where the bolts are that hold it together, (the rear where it says CAMARO and has the Z28 emblem on). Any help would be appreciated.

Ok, I just did this last week. I'm getting mine painted black and the letters filled in. Pull back the carpet as far as possible. You'll need to take out the taillights first. You can take them out by unscrewing the black plastic thumb screws. The panel itself is held on by 4 bolts if I remember right. Just take off the nuts on those bolts. Then just pull the panel out. It's actually quite easy.

Oh and it would look great. I have seen pics of a pewter Camaro with the back panel. I'll see if I can dig up those pics.

EDIT: Those pics are on CarDomain and they have it shut down right now. I'll post them when I can get to them.

Well, originally it was on the 1st gen BB cars (which were all SS cars since the Z had a 302) and some 2nd gen cars (don't know which ones). The Berger SS, Tom Henry SS, 2002 ZL1, 35th Performance Edition SS and the Hot Rod Magazine Camaro all have it. Linky
