Removing old vinyl overlay

My Z28 had a rear CAMARO vinyl insert when I bought it. The problem is it is old and falling apart. It is flaking pretty bad. My question is how do I remove the rest without damaging the panel?

TIA

What kind of adhesive or tape was used to apply the ovelays? I'm sure there are better stuff out there but try WD-40 on a small area. It usually works well without damaging the paint. I would let it soak for several minutes and then gently scrape it off using your fingernail or a hard rubber object like those used by window tinters. However, be sure to remove all the shiny nonporous parts first and then apply the WD-40 on the leftover adhesive.
