Painting Calipers

I am going to paint my calipers this weekend and have a quick question.

I am painting them black. Since I will be clearcoating them afterwords for the decals, should the black paint have high gloss in them, or should I leave that to the clear coat?

I plan to buy the paint at the ol' autozone, so I haven't yet seen the type of black offered. I wasn't sure how much gloss comes out of the clearcoat application.

Can too much gloss be too much?

Just buy the normal black caliper paint. The clear coat gives it a bit of "wet" look but not much. The application/prep work will give you a better finish, so focus on that,

I think I just used a flat black with a clear coat on top-I dont have any more recent pics in the light-so this might not help you, but here are some pics
