overhead switches

im thinking of making up an overhead switch panel to hold a group of switches ill be needing. not sure if im gonna use a peace out of a junkyard car that has a small overhead panel for a compass and mod it to fit the headliner or use sheet metal and cover it with headliner material. anyone done anything like this or have pics of it? any input?

Re: overhead switches

I had an overhead EQ mount that I fabbed before... there are pics on my car-doin page (See profile for link).

I'm currently in the process of fabbing a full custom Fiberglass Headliner with a few digital gauges and small selector switches designed in. Nothing for a first timer.

I'd suggest finding something and modifying it to start with.
