Need Opinion On Seat Repair
I bought the car used, and have neglected these few problems for a while, but they are starting to annoy me. A new top seat cover is 200+ from GM Parts Direct. I talked to http://www.leatherworldtech.com/ and they said they could match the color of the seat and send me their repair kit for 50. I have yet to go down to the local seat shop b/c I don't know what I should pay for something like this. I am also worried that the vinyl they use to fix it will be off compared to the neutral it is now due to so many kinds of vinyl being different shades similiar to the color and texture of the seat. What do you all think?

I had a local upholstry shop tell me they could stitch in a new piece of leather or vinyl... they quoted me around $100 for the work if I remember correctly.. I never had it done but am going to check with them again here shortly. The price for a whole new seat cover is crazy..
So I really don't have any advice to offer you... let me know what you decide to do and how it goes.

Thanks. That gives me a good idea of what to expect. I think I will run down there before the end of the week. My hangup is on if the new panels will match the look of the existing pieces. At least it is on the vinyl part of the seat so $$$ should not be as much...I hope I'll let you know.
