My steering is really messed up???

I put new Enkei Winn rims on with 275/40/17 Kumho's while the car was in storage. Now when I drive the car my steering wheel is all over the place and its like driving a race car....i'm constantly having to move the wheel to make the car stay straight. This isn't your average tramling my brother's car has the same tires and 17 inch rims and his handles alot better. Also the wheel vibrates at like 50-55 mph on the highway. Do you think this is the rims or do I need a front end alignment?

Sounds to me as if the wheels are out of balance. If the car is pulling to the right or the left while you are driving a straight line, then it's the alignment too.

Vibration is usual balance, not tracking straight is alignment...(right?)...

yes, check allignment and get your wheels balanced too. tell them to put the wheel weights on the inside of the rim....they use tape. that'll keep your rims looking good

oh yeah. I always have my rims static balanced. First time they mess up and put the weights on the lip of the rim....new rims for me

My rims have weights both on the outside and inside. What is static balancing and is it better?

that's when the put the weights inside the rims rather than the lip of the rim

not that I can tell and I've had my rims static balanced for a long time, even when I had my ZR1 rims. They said that it doesn't balance your wheels as well but I don't see the difference and there are no vibrations.
