Making the Halo Glow?

I have these headlights installed, but how the hell do I get the actual halo rim to glow?!

This is the headlight I'm talking about:

Re: Making the Halo Glow?

Hook the wires coming out of it to your parking lights, fog lights, or headlights.

No way.. really?!

haha JP... but, really, this has to be like a "wiring for dummies" or something because I have no idea what I have to splice together... (I want it connected to the turn signals/parklights.. but how?)

Re: Making the Halo Glow?

It may help some viewers to see the clips in the following picture (sorry about the focus):

I wouldn't use #1 or #2 on any exterior or underhood connections. They are dry connectors and they will corrode with the "greeny-meanies". This style of connectors have been around for over 20 years.

#3 has a special gel filling that seals the connection, and is better for exterior work. This is a 3M connector.

I personally prefer to solder all my connections; inside and out.

Re: Making the Halo Glow?

my halo wires didn't come with anything, so now that i know what taps to get, I need to get 4 of them right? 2 positive 2 neg. right?

What kind of spade connectors do i put on the ends to connect to the wire taps? Part number and/or picture? That was very helpful by the way thanks!

Re: Making the Halo Glow?

Yeah... 4 of them. As I recall there's a black and a red wire coming from each halo. The instructions said which was positive and negative. (I used a test light to find the positive wire from my parking lights.)

There are many different kinds of clips, and I don't have p/ns. You will be able to get them from any parts store... just ask them for help. I would hope that they'd be able to explain how to use them.

Re: Making the Halo Glow?

Yeah, I picked some up and connected everything today. They look great. They are a little brighter on the bottom of the halo, but thats ok. Thanks for the help. I'm good with wrenches but not with wires
