Looks good. How does it drive compared to the old LT-1?

Wow, I love the concept of an LS1 in an LT1 Camaro. Is there a better way to hook up the gauges? What would stop you from just getting an LS1 cluster and plug it all in? Would an LS1 cluster fit the opening in the 93-96 dash, or would you need a full interior swap to perfect it? Sorry for all the questions, I just love your car. What was the parts list like for the conversion?

Damn, did it hurt when your car fell straight from heaven? I love a nice black LT1 Camaro, but it's only made many times better by having an LS1 under the hood.

I actually do have an LS1 dash that i can put in...BUT, it is so much of a PITA to change out the dash that i just didn't feel like attempting that swap. swapping out the motors/trannies was so much easier than swapping out the dash....blech....lol!

Parts list? i dunno...i had a parts LS1 car that i used....

there were a few things that i had to have...

LS1 throttle cable
plugs from 99 and 95 harness for wiring into 95 harness
motor, trans, wiring....:P

that's about it...i used the driveshaft and such from the LS1 too...Oh and the tranny mount, you will have to fab up something to make the crossmemebr line up with the tranny....i used a universal Energy Suspension Mount with the 3 holes and made up a plate to bolt into....

But yes, thank you for the compliments...

and yes, it did hurt the wallet....ALOT! loL!

Very nice. Why the change, was it you that had a Lloyd Elliot LT1 setup?

honestly how hard was it. what did you need to get to do the swap? besides motor, new computer etc. do the tranny's match up or do you need to replace that also. i've thought about doing this is why i'm curious.

Although they are the same tranny, their are still some variations between the LT1 and LS1 making some slight differences in the transmission and therefore preventing them from matching up exact.

I've been waiting a LONG time to see someone take a '98-'02 car and put the '93-'97 front quarters, bumpers, and hood on, but... this is close enough! Great job! I'd really like to know if there are serious clearance issues with using the LS1 air intake box though... Do you happen to know?

Can't remember where off hand, but I did see someone put a 93-97 front-end on an LS1 based Camaro.

I didn't use the LS1 box...used the LT1 cold air system...:P

i wish i could use the lid setup...but i just don't think it would clear...

Oh well...i love this car tho! 1st gear goin 25-30mph and she still spins the tires like nobody's business....it's great! not to mention the quick 25-45 jump in 2 secs is nice too...

and when you have an ******* behind you on a 2 lane single direction road try to pass you, and you stomp it, it tends to scare the **** outta them....LOL!!!!! LOVE IT!!!
