Installing Stull Grill, Cut behind it?

I was thinking about getting one of the Stull grills as I like the look. I was just wondering how they mount. I thought I read somewhere that you have to cut the black part (with the bowtie) out before installing it.

Anyone know?

Thanks.

Mine stick on with double sided tape. I've never heard of anyone having to cut behind the grille, but I did. I also chopped out some of the impact absorber to get some air to the intercooler.
