HVAC lights

Might seem like a dumb question, but are the three HVAC dials (fan speed, heater/ac, & temp) supposed to be lighted when the headlights are on? I assume that they are, but my Camaro is the first 93-97 I have ever even been in, let alone owned. If they are, how might one go about fixing the light? Thanks.

Re: HVAC lights

I have a 97 z28 and am 100% sure about this- yes they do light up. What im not so sure about, I think you may need to replace the bulb behind the one not working. Goodluck

Thank you, sir!!

BTW, I see you live in Calhoun...I lived in Trion for about a year in the early 90's. My Dad worked at the Roper plant in Lafayette.

Re: HVAC lights

I am kind of stuck....is there an easy way to get those old bulbs out? I was thinking tweezers, but am afraid I might break them. Any input would be greatly appreciated!! BTW, when I went to Auto Zone, they said their computers called for a #73 light. The guy told me they are basically the same, but the 74 is a bit brighter. I went with the 73, so it would match the other dash lights.

Re: HVAC lights

pilers, garb and pull, if it breaks you have to dig it out, but I've never had one break.
