how much does a professional charge to install springs?
how much does everyone pay to have springs installed, idon't think I have the tools, knowledge or the time to do it my self. I know the car needs alignment, that's like $40, so how much to just install springs? thanks eveyone.

it aint cheap...
i'd try to do it yourself...
around here it was like 200 for the fronts...
so im guessing you'd pay at least 300 for the 4...thats what i think...prob more depending where u are at and what they charge....
you could do the rears no problem by yourself...
plus are u using stock shocks? i'd think otherwise before u pay that much to get them installed them realize the ride SUCKS and u change shocks and have to re-install everythung....do it once and do it right...GET Aftermarket shocks!!
ive been there and done that...i went with sportlines and now im switching to Hal's
good luck buddy...

i have an idea of what tools are needed, i guess you need a spring compressor to get the old springs out and the new ones in. i guess i'll do some research of this board to find out just what it takes. my uncle is a snap-on dealer, maybe he can lend me the tools i need. thanks for your response.

Yeah, actually keep me updated on how this goes. I have thought about dropping mine a little, but I have usually decided against it because I would have to rechange the whole suspension anyways if I ever swapped engines.
Where can I find that manual?
(I'm ready to go manual crazy- much is out there for me to learn)

I was quoted at about $300 to have it professionally done. What I did was get a buddy that is a real good mechanic to do it for half the price! .
What you can do though is this: You can easily do the rears yourself - all you have to do is jack the rear-end up, put it on jack stands, then undo the 4 bolts I believe (2 on each side) that hold the rearend to the rest of the car. The rear-end will drop and you can slide the old springs out. Pop the new springs in and put everything back to normal. Then you could take the front shocks/struts out, bring them to a local shop that has a spring compressor, ask them to take off your old springs and put in your new ones - I doubt they would charge you that much. Then go home and pop the shocks/struts back in. I guess it sounds pretty difficult, but after seeing and helping the mechanic that did it on my car, I think I could attemp it.
Best thing to do first if you have no experience is to get that manual mentioned above and read up on it. Good luck!!!
