HID Fogs for 1993 Camaro
Hi, I'm having trouble finding HID foglights for my 93 Camaro. Anyone point me in the right direction? I just purchased a HID headlight kit off ebay, hoping it is a quality unit. I would like to have the fogs match the headlights which are 10000k.
Thanks, Ryan

should be something like this.
10000K Blue 880 Xenon HID Conversion Kit --Fog Light | eBay
just a word of warning though; since i assume youre not gonna be using projectors designed for HID bulbs, and are sticking with stock housings, youre going to have a terrible light pattern. youll be blinding people and wont be able to see much yourself. also, 10000k is too purple. i think something around 5000k is ideal. i have 8000k, and will probably be switching to 6000k for better light.

I don't know if you have drove an early 90's camaro, but if I taped 2 flashlights to my hood I would have better lighting than I do now. lol
The kit was only $100 so I'm going to try it if it doesn't work I guess I will have to look into projectors... Seems like a lot of screwing around as there are no plug and play kits available correct?

5,000K is "Bright White" in color and typically produces the most Lumens (Brightness/Light Output), as you go away from that number light output drops and by 8,000 K you are just about at the lower limits of usable lighting... So 10,000 K
An idea of Lumens vs. HID Kelvins (Color)
More Light Reading on why Higher K HIDs do not produce good light
Stick to 4,500 - 6,000 K and you'll get much better light output. And as you already know the actual Headlamps themselves also have an impact, and well the 93-97 Headlamps have such terrible optics it's an uphill battle....
The best option is to rip them out and replace them with projectors:
Hella Projector Install
Standard weak bulbs in those Hellas should blow the doors of HIDs in both the Headlamps and Fogs

If you got the money Blackbird Lighting Solutions
I wonder if they'd sell empty housings and hardware so I can source my own projectors.

After looking at their site, it looks like they use the same projectors I'd go for. I haven't checked what the morimotos are going for, but the price for the low beams is probably acceptable.
