I go to school for autobody and paint and we take in customers that are affiliated through the school, because we are not open to the public. A customer brough in her white 1997 Camaro Convertible (3.8). Naturally, my teacher went to me first, knowing how much I like F-Bodies. A lot of panels will be replaced and reapinted....probably the entire car. But I wanted to suggest to her some small touches that would really make her car stand out with minimal cost. I have been having trouble finding some things which I know are out there and was wondering if you guys could help. I am looking for:

-black "3800" side decals
-black front nose Camaro emblem (i think it's carbon fiber)
-New black side stripes (they are small width stripes that are stock on many verts, hers are faded) Example pic:


The rest of my plans which I do not need help in finding are:
-Black rear Camaro fill in vinyls from Brent Franker
-(possibly) clear corners or smoked signals
-side molding (door guard) removal

Hopefully, all of this will be below around $150. She will already be paying less than anywhere else because she is not paying for labor (because it is being done by a student), only materials - of which we happen to use the highest quality. I won't start on it for about 3 weeks, but I thought I'd start researching now. If I remember correctly, her top is also black which goes with the rest of my plans, if I'm mistaken, I don't know if it will look so good. She is a Camaro enthusiast, though not as much as us, but I think she'll go for it. I hope she does, because it will make the work just that much funner. I plan to prepare really well so that I can get the job done fast. Some parts will need to be done fast because I am not yet experienced in spraying, as I haven't gotten that far yet so I will have to take my time.

So, what do you think of my plans?

You can get those pin stripes at just about any car store...they're easy to find. There are some more special stripes that have the chevy bowtie at the end of them, I'm not sure where to find those. The 3800 decals can probably be made by brent, I'm sure he's done them before at least once. The carbon fiber front emblem can be found on eBay or here. Personally, I think either the carbon fiber bowties or vinyl bowties on the fenders would look better than the 3800 emblems.

^^ you're a funny guy. This isn't about my car, but I'll take that as you giving your 2 cents.

I'm not sure If vinyls would look okay or not in place of the stock camaro or similar 3800 emblems, but it's a good suggestion for her if she likes the sound of it. Thanks for the help and suggestions.

white guage faces for like 25
carbon fiber door handles
headlight covers
letter inserts
the grill is kinda expensive
