Post HELLLLP!! Aftermarket Hood Install

Help!
Anyone know how to "compress" the black struts that connect to the middle of the hood? I have the back(near the windshield) all bolted up, but cannot get those struts to line up with the holes, it looks like they are 4 or 5 inches too close to the nose.

Anyone know what I am talking about and/or know a solution?

Thanks a lot!
Jack

No instructions came with my new hood, and I am dyin here..lol

All these aftermarket hoods on this site, someone must have put it on themselves! How did you get the black struts in the middle in the holes?

Do they go in 1st and then the back corners? Do I need new struts?

Thanks!!
