Re: Harwood SS Hood?

What makes you think it's aftermarket? Looks stock to me.

I doubt many SS owners would buy salad shooters and paint them flat black.

OP- Not that I know of- they had two versions of cowl, one with closed front the other with open.

That could be any of the numerous companies that make 'SS' hoods.

The pic sucks, I agree. Post a closeup of the grill on it and if it says MADE IN CANADA on the bottom of the hood in two spots near the cowl, it's an SLP one. One spot is driver's side, the other is in the middle behind the rubber thing that attaches to the air filter.

We're talking about the HOOD, not the rest of the car!!

Re: Harwood SS Hood?

As far as I know they only had the cowl induction, which I have, and the scoop type. The scoop type looks exactly the same as the cowl induction except for at the front of the hood it is molded to look like a opening.

Go to their website. They have pictures and fitments of all their hoods and other parts as well.

You're right..the same people who paint their salad shooters flat black are the same ones who spend well over a grand for an OEM SS Hood...or who have a stock SS put the ugliest wheels on the car.

But in regards to the hood its hard to tell exactly but unless its an odd glare it looks like it fits like crap along the driver side fender line- which would lead me to believe its another ill-fitting aftermarket version.

I honestly have yet to see more than a handful of aftermarket SS hoods that didn't fit like crap. And the ones that did fit nicely had many many hours of work into shaping the fiberglass to get it to fit.
