Fogged Headlights

Hello all. Gathering 8 is coming up this weekend and I've been looking at some newer Camaro's and I've noticed something that sets my car apart in a negative fashion. My headlight lenses are filthy. I've washed my car and scrubbed on the lenses but they would only come to about a quarter clean point, then they dry up and look just as bad. What I'm wondering is if it's possible that there is dirt on the inside of the lense and if so how do I open the lense and clean it? also should I use a headlight cleaner, if so where can I find it?

thanks all
ttyl

If it's on the inside I'm not sure you could do much other than get new ones, it's pretty hard to take em apart and most of the time people break the lense...But if it's on the outside this kit can clean it up.

you could try to reseal them. preheat the oven to 250 degees and place the headlight in there for about 5-10 mins. then carefully try to pry about the lens from the rest of the housing. afer they are apart, clean the inside and then place the 2 separate piece back in the over for the same about of time and then remove and put them back together and hold them like your life depended on it (or a vise could work too, just dont damage it). you could also add some silicon around the seals if you like at this point.
