Fog Light Bulbs.... 880 vs 885??? What is the diffrence?
I see that they are the same size.... I haven't been able to find any "White/Zenon" bulbs for fog light that are 885 but I have found some 27w 880 bulbs... how do these compare?

I believe the 880 has a straight in base whereas the 885 has a 90° base. That would probably cause you some headache. I don't know - I never tried it and it's been too long since I removed my fog's, I can't remember how tight of a fit it is.

Dang - you are correct! I must have been having a serious brain fart...
I believe the 885's are 55w, and I know the 880's are 27w...so that is the difference.
There is one of the bulbs that commonly gets cross referenced though for these that does have a 90° base, but it's not in the 88x family. But yes - they 885's definitely have a higher wattage...and for some reason, 37.5w's comes to mind, that may possibly be it.
