firebird headlight conversion??

A friend of mine told me about a conversion kit to make the flip up lights look like the new corvette lights. Has anyone else heard of this?

The kit costs about a grand. But it can be done. Looks good to some, others hate it.

They are only listed for the 1997- 2002 cars. They use a walmart type replacement low light with a Catz projector for the high. The hardest part for you doing this yourself would be the clear lens to flush mount the unit with the car. The lights themselves could be had for less than $250 in parts. It appears that CATZ may have went out of business as most places are listing their products as discontinued.

I still dont understand why they list those as 97+ lights.....
They do this with many other parts as well....... Good luck fitting any of this on a 97.... Woudlnt 98+ sound much better?

I'm thinking of modifying the headlights on my 95 Firehawk to look more like a C-5. I think they just flip up too high. I think I am going to play with the linkage and see what I can come up with. I did this on my GTA with 2 small round PIAA-looking lights and it looked pretty cool, the lights only flipped up like 1 1/2". If you manually put your early 4th gen firebird/ T/A lights up about 2"-3" it looks kinda odd cause the headlight door is shaped funny. Still, I might give it a shot. If it looks okay I'll post some pics.
