Fiberglass or Carbon fiber

I am really just wondering what the pros an cons are of both and if one is actually better than the other.

The one thing I am having trouble finding is the actual weight of a carbon fiber hood, but I have come across some fiberglass that advertise weight. So im also wondering which weighs less.

Re: Fiberglass or Carbon fiber

Carbon fiber is generally better. Lighter & stronger, but usually more expensive.

Re: Fiberglass or Carbon fiber

Sometimes carbon fiber appearance stuff isn't real carbon fiber, it's something else wrapped with something that looks like carbon fiber. Then again, sometimes things are fiberglass and have a layer of carbon fiber on top just for appearance. You kind of have to do research and ask questions and make sure the item is actually made from carbon fiber and not just given the appearance.
