Engine paint

Need ideas on what color to paint my LT1. It is going in a 3rd gen that has a white engine bay.

I'd do black. Don't do white, I've heard it'll turn yellowish, but don't know that for a fact.

Count my vote as Chevrolet Orange as well. Gives the motor that slight old school look. I know when I have my motor rebuilt it's going Orange.

try Googling it. If you cant find someone with an Orange LT1 or LS1, you should be able to find an older chevrolet motor painted orange for you to see.

Yeah, Here are some pics while I was still building it. You can see the color better here than when it is in the car. I really like the orange. It's old school but looks very nice. I can take a couple if you would like to see it in the car also.

Looks really good and yes, I would like to see a pic of it in the car. Is the fuel rail painted a flat black? The Orange intake is sweet.

yes it is a flat black it matches the stock valve covers, so is the alternator and acc bracket. The engine paint is dupicolor engine enamal chevy orange.

That looks great. What grit sandpaper did you use on the fuel rail? Did you use duplicolor for the black also?

Very nice 30AnniversaryZ28. My engine bay is white so I'm glad you had some pics. I wasn't sure how the white w/ orange engine would look, but I'm happy w/ the looks.
