Engine Bay and Undercarriage Clean Up

Since my motor, trans, front suspension and everything is out, I thought about trying to clean up the engine bay clutter and grime that has accumulated over the past 15 years.

First I'm removing alot of the clutter, HVAC, A/C, Alt relocation, ABS, possible wire mod, etc.

Next I was going to simple green the engine bay, but then I started thinking about the undercarriage. What would you guys think about a Red Z with a black undercarriage and possibly even a black engine bay? I dont want this think to look rice or something, but I figure it would hide alot of the imperfections if I did everything with POR-15 or something. There is a little surface rust on the undercarriage and engine bay too, so it wouldnt hurt to nip that in the butt.

Thoughts or Suggestions?

Green in the engine bay is going to look like Christmas.

Almost all of the Berger SS Camaros had black engine bays. I think it would look just fine!

For cleaning the engine bay, I use a portable steam cleaner which removes ALOT of that grease & grime without any harm. Keep a dry rag handy because you don't want any water on the optispark or the computer. Good Luck & Happy Cleaning!!!!!!!!

Engine bay is missing the engine, trans, suspension, etc. I'm still working on so many other things that I've only cleaned off the shock towers.
