embossed door cards
Does anyone have a write up on how to do the embossed door cards or an embossed headliner? Someone posted a picture a while ago of their door cards with the phoenix logo popping out of it, and it looked awesome. Looking to do the same to my car this weekend, and looking for a bit of guidance! I tried search, but it didnt come up with anything promising.

It's not that hard to do, but if you've never done any automotive upholstery before, your first attempt probably will end up needing to be redone down the road.
You have to remove your door panel or headliner, strip the material off, make whatever design you want out of some soft foam, and lay new material over top of it. It's not that difficult, but you really have to do the glue work right on the design, otherwise the material will pull away from it and your material will start slowly pulling away from the entire door panel or headliner.
