It was originally orange

El Camaro

El Camaro 2

Has a supercharged LT1, Ferrari F-40 or F-50 seats, center exit exhaust, etc. The car has actually been around for closer to 6 or 7 years.

Poor car, I always thought there was no use for the El Camino's, not too mention the style just doesn't do it for me. I'll say one thing though, the style is cool until you get to the back

Designed by a guy named Buerne or something similar. Not just a hatchback to bed conversion. It actually was sectioned and 9 inches added to the body to get the proportions right. At one time he was talking about doing the conversions for about $40,000. (plus the cost of the Camaro)

I recall that it was introduced at SEMA in Nov of 94 in orange. At SEMA in Nov of 95 or 6 I saw it again in the Purple.

The orange was much more striking.

$40,000 + the cost of the camaro!?!
he must have reconsidered, agknowledging that no one is dumb enough to pay that kind of money for something like that.
Personally I give him props for what he has created... but although its an interesting piece of work, I dont like it.
