iv done some door poppers for a a few buddys of mine. they all had existing alarms with keyless entry so i just used the lock motor to pull the handle latch. for the springs you can get them on pretty much any sport truck website like FBIrides.com

door pops

i have done a million of these over the years. i will tell you do it right the first time or youll pay. get a kit from a good shop like lokar or autoloc. pay for the extra cost up front. call them and let them know what your putting it on so you get the right pulling power. dont go cheap on this. also i would highly recommend a emergency pull pop. so if your battery dies you can still get in. trust me its alot cheeper than replacing the window. dont waste your money on the aim industry kit it sucks and it will leave you pissed off i promiss. well good luck

I just did mine without a kit. Just got solenoids and used the wires from the remote locks. Still uses the factory key fob, but opens doors instead of locking and unlocking now

I have never seen one that doesn't "sweat" where you can sometimes see where it was shaved, and then sometimes you can't. The door expands and contracts with heat differently than the material used to shave the door.

apparently i've been fortunate because mine have been shaved for a few years and they're still looking good. the color of the vehicle might make a difference though.

thanks chet, yours is sharp too.

It may be the color, lighter colors you may be able to get away with it. White especially would be a good one to try. My teal looks damn good for a 5 year old paint job (granted it rarely leaves the garage) but with my "trained" eye I can see it move in different conditions. I just don't recommend doing it because of the trouble it can be to get it right.

i shaved my buddy's s-10 both doors and tail gate, his truck is black, either put the kit together your self or go with autoloc, i had autoloc in my 85 ss monte and was awesome.
and ditto us fiberglass mud ****, works great either that or us fiber mat.
good luck
