Question dash pads, am i asking too much???

ok, my upper dash on my 97 is cracking(as is all of ours thats spent time in the sun) and im getting tired of it. So i decided to go shopping for an upper dash pad...........WTF?!?!?! ok, everything ive seen so far looks like it was ripped off a Buffalo's back. either carpet fibers or backing are too thick or theres not a hole for the defroster. nothing seemed to look right so i decided to buy a used upper dash off someone. While taking my old one out it busted apart(poor thing) so i trashed it. while putting the "new" one in it cracked as well......... fml. So now im back to square one and putting out an APB..... IS THERE AVALIBLE IN THE WORLD a clean looking upper dash pad or even a vinyl cover??????

You should be able to order a matching vinyl from some place like stockinteriors.com if you're wanting to try fbodyrs96's idea.

I just used black, which match's pretty good with all the ebony interior I have swapped over to.
