black '97+Z with silver tail panel?

I was wondering if anyone has done this. I did a '97+ taillight conversion on my '94 and I'm considering a late SS spoiler swap and painting my taillight panel silver while I'm at it. I want it to match my C5 wheels. I was looking for a pic so I could make up my mind...

I am still debating whether to do mine in white or silver. I am kind of leaning towards white cause I am going to get clear corners and white turn covers. I have stock silver wheels so I don't know if all that will blend.

it would be a lot better if it were a dark gray instead of silver

If I had black wheels, I might do the tail panel gunmetal and powercoat the exhaust tips too. But since my wheels are silver, I'm going for the same color, close the the one in the pic. I'm gonna use black inserts on the letters, and the same color overlays on the fender emblems. Figured that would look good...

to me it kinda looks like someone got in an accident and used parts from a different color car. Good idea behind it though, I just dont think it 'blends in' good enough. Maybe if the paint faded to black underneath the tailights I would like it. It just looks too blunt [to me] on the sides.
