Behind stock grill

If I remove my stock black plastic grill what does it look like ? Does it say "Camaro" or is it all smooth ? Also do I just pull hard till it pops out or what ? 2000 Z28 btw..

It will say CAMARO on the front just like on the grill. IMO, the front fascia looks good without the grill and I've seen many people drive around without it. The only downside is that there are eight mounting holes that looks a bit unsightly.

You know, in all the years people have been saying that (including me), I've yet to see anyone actually get those holes filled and painted.

Mine as well as three others that I have removed were NOT held in by screws. THey're just little fasteners. I grabbed from the front and "gently" pulled with a bit of force. Popped right out every time with no damage.

HAHA well I might just go out there and try to pull this thing out right now (gently). If it does mess up I have a body shop owner that will hook me up with anything I mess up. Will this thing still come out with the front plate bracket still intact ? Is that just part of the grill that should all come out as one or do I need to take that off first (if it even comes off separate)..

That's a question that will be answered for you by looking at your car. It's molded into the grill.

NO screws holding it on...just grab it and pull it off...it may take a little muscle to do it I have done at least a half a dozen of them...

Brandon....I'm disappointed in you lol. It is NOT molded into the grill. It is molded/formed/shaped to contour to the grill, but that's it. The plate bracket is held on by screws or rivets. Best bet it to take it off first....if they used screws or rivets, they could have gone through the nose cone/bumper cover of the car. If that's the case, pulling will result in damage. Just remove whatever screws are holding it on, or if rivets, drill them out, and then pull the grill.
