Autotrader find of the month: '93 Purple Pearl Z28 with 33k miles!

Someone needs to buy this (the asking price is actually quite reasonable!) and heavily photograph this rare beauty for me. Just over 10,000 Camaros were made from 1993-1994 in Purple Pearl Metallic, making it a (now) very rare color. This one is gorgeous and you can't beat the low mileage!

Unfortunately none of the pictures are in the angle I need for my site. I've emailed the seller and requested a picture at my usual 3/4 angle. Hopefully they will help!

eh, not about opti-spark, though thta certainly doesnt help, its just too much in insurance. and those pics are either misleading or it is faded purple that looks gray.

That color looks gray in certain lights. Fastbird on here has a TA in that color, some pics it looks more purple, others it looks more of a gray. That cars paint isnt faded, that color is just a purple-gray kinda deal. The insurance isn't bad on a Lt1 unless your 17.

Insurance on a '93 Z28 is cheaper than a '02 Toyota Corolla with a 4-cylinder.

BTW the paint isn't faded. It just looks different in bright light, which is the only time it really looks very purple. Here's the pic I use on my site of one with only 22k miles. I hope this used car dealership will send me the pic I requested... I'd like to have more than one pic of the color on my site.

This is the old pic I used to use. The car isn't stock, because the Z28 logos are replacements or something, because the red bowtie shouldn't be there, and the one on the front bumper isn't right either. (Pretty sure this is a fake Z28 as it has body colored mirrors, which was 100% not optional on a Z28 in 1993 or 1994). Overall, I just plain can't use this pic.

I don't particularly like that pic...

No worries, I'll find pics soon. I don't want to be a part of the many Camaro sites on the internet that mislead people with incorrect pictures.

No offense to the site owner... but this site's pics are really misleading.

What few other sites still exist are usually doing about the same thing.

The owner of that other one was a jerk and never emailed me back (typical).

I did however just now find a pic of a stock '93 purple pearl with 53,000 miles, so I'm mildly satisfied. The headlight buckets look like they've never been waxed.

Just like this '95 polo green Z28 I checked out locally with only 14,000 miles.

How many of you still have flat black headlight buckets? After years of waxing (and especially after an acrylic polish or whatever we paid $300 for a professional airplane detailer to do back in 2003) our buckets are semi-gloss. The green one actually had a mildly rough texture to the paint. I thought that was rather odd.

It looks so much better than the flat matte paint.

wow...I'm waiting for Captain to step in here....he got that exact car w/ less miles (27K I believe) for less than 1/2 of what that guy was asking.

And Brangenta....I can't find any original photos of his car....believe me I have looked. They re-formatted my old pc here at work so I lost all of those old pics.

It's not a major problem anymore. I found a B4C in the same color on Z28.com's forums that only had 11,000 miles. I should have enough acceptable pictures for Purple Pearl now, but I am very disappointed the autotrader person didn't send me one.

Now I just need more good pics of Dark Green-Gray Metallic and Bright Green Metallic. The rest I have pretty well covered.

For some reason, the BGM owners seem to be the ones who customize their cars more than anyone. Silver Z28 badge overlays and clear corners galore!
