Re: Anyone paint the stock grill gloss black?
hey man, i had a chrome billet grille on my car but i got tired of the silver look. it was on the car when i bought it so i figured, why not paint it black. i know the type grille i have is different than the stock plastic grille so i cant help you with the looks, but one thing i can help you with, is you better put alot of coats of paint on it. sounds logical, but seriously, i put 5 coats of black paint on the billet grille, and 5 coats of clear, and those rocks still manage to ding it up. just be prepared to do maintenance on it every month or so. otherwise, i think ur grille will look good. have you seen the stock ss grilles??? the ones made by slp that are glossy black. you can get them with the ss emblem or the bowtie. theyll run ya about $130 but they look awesome. hope this helps a little. later
