95 TA Spoiler

I have been wondering since i bought my car about a year ago if it had the correct spoiler. It is not the raised one, should my 95 with ttops have a raised on or should it have the is one. here is a crappy pic

also if i wanted to change to the raised spoiler what would be involved in the change? thanks

Any other pictures of the car? They don't necessarily have to be from the back.

Early 4th gen Trans AM came with an option of a taller spoiler. It's a pretty rare TA to have one with a low one.

A hatch swap is all that is required to change to a TA spoiler.

Most all convertibles got the low spoiler and of course all Formulas. The Trans-am hard tops were only made in low quantity with the low spoiler. Kinda rare if you ask me. I definitely would not change it, but if you do...like stated above. You have to replace they whole hatch

knowing that this is rare makes me really NOT want to change it but at the same time I like the way the high spoiler looks more, hmmm well it will def be staying for a while cause i dont have the extra money for a hatch swap at the moment so i guess i will have time to think over whether or not to change. I had some guy telling me that there was no way that came stock like that and it was prolly in an accident, but i had never seen any things that would lead me to belive that. thanks guys

I've seen quite a few formulas with the low spoiler. I Believe the high spoiler was part of an appearance package. Typically a high rise/whale tail spoiler goes for about 3-500.

changt it to the 02 version.. those spoilers are ugly... for the bluebook value on these cars, they are about as rare as a penny.

ALL Formulas had the low spoiler!
Please re-read my reply. He owns a Trans-am with the low spoiler.
Not that common

+ 1. Go look in any classified section, look on eBay, look on autotrader. I can almost guarantee you that if you look for Trans Ams from any year 93+, you will not see one with the low deck spoiler.

I had a 95 Trans Am and the high rise spoiler was an individual option. I think in 94 it came with part of a GT package but in 95 might have been an individual option.

The high rise spoiler was optional (RPO T43) in 95-97 according to the "Firebird Red Book".

There's a red LT1 Trans am for sale at a lot by my mom's house with the low rise spoiler. I saw it and instantly thought of this thread...and how I said you've got a very small chance of seeing one for sale.
