94 Z28 problems/ questions
This forum has been very useful for me in the past so I am hoping my luck continues.
The hi beam actuating switch on the blinker arm of my 94Z will not properly work. Dont know if this is strange or not but I found that this switch will not work when the steering wheel is in the down position ( where I normally keep it) but the actuating switch will work if the steering wheel is adjusted to an upright position. Can this be easily fixed?
Also....the back window of my convertible is separating from the cloth top. I took it to a custom repair shop and was told a new top was needed. Can't this be glued or otherwise repaired somehow??
Thanks for your response.

Re: 94 Z28 problems/ questions
The high beam switch is not that hard to replace and is fairly cheap
the top is starting to show its age by dry rotting you may be able to use some kind of glue for a cheap fix. not going to last very long new top is going to to set you back 800-1000 installed
a guy that I work with has a convertible and he ordered a new top and installed it himself
and said that it was not hard to do . IMO it looked pretty good but it did bubble up going down the road maybe he didn't stretch it tight ??

Re: 94 Z28 problems/ questions
thanks for your response. Actually the top still looks in good shape but must have shrunk. I am going to try and fix with JB weld and re-attach the inside part of the roof to the window. Is there a way to restretch a convertible top so the outside piece of the top will again overlap the outside of the window?
Also....I dont see how replacing the hi beam switch is easy. Unless I'm missing something it looks like the steering wheel has to be disassembled to access this switch. Is this correct??
