93-97 Firebird - brighter than stock headlights?

what are my options for getting some brighter than typical headlights that are direct replacement in a 93-97 bird?

not interested in all the hassle/cost of HID's, just something thats an upgrade from the standard crappy headlight.

i ran a search but theres seems to be a ton of stuff out there with differeing opinions, was hoping someone could just narrow it down a bit for me.

well if you wanna go very very simple, pick up some silverstar replacements from pep boys or whoever. If you want better than that with a little more hassle, convert the sealed beams to some hella 165mm H4 housings and quality h4 lamps. I picked up a whole set with adapters, housings, and lamps for ~100 bucks but well worth the money before I went to HIDs. I have pics if interested.

The silverstars are probably the easiest ones to get. They are pretty bright.

Heres a link http://www.partsamerica.com/ProductD...pe=301&PTSet=A

They, IMO are the brightest ones available. The cool blue ones arent as bright but aesthetically look better and 2x the price. And the part # is H4666ST. I believe autozone, pep boys, napa etc. all use the same part number.

yea, 880ST bulbs. Silverstars are the easiest and look ok but replacing the housing with a much better one is the best way to go in my opinion. Silver star headlamps and foglights will run you ~$85+ whereas for another $50 you could have much better headlight housings with the silverstar fogs.

and those same housings with HIDs, clear corners with LEDs and new angel eye fogs as well.
