The biggest thing I would keep in mind is you get what you pay for. If you buy a $300 hood- its going to look like it.
Cowl and SS are both pretty popular with people siding on either side of the fence. I personally don't like anything bigger than a 2.5" hood- starts to cut into the windshield and look out of place.

I like both, but when a harwood cowl showed up on CL's for $100 couldn't pass that deal up, all the fbody salvage yards around here want $800-$1000 for an OEM SS hood, to much for me.

i really like fbody96's hood. it looks taller from the side, making the hood look shorter. and we all know it needs it. makes the car looks more balanced.

Yes, they charge too much for an OEM hood. I guess the next question would be which company makes the best quality aftermarket SS hood?

If you want a perfect fit, you gotta pay to play! I can't speak for everyone, but I'd rather see a perfect fitting OEM stock Camaro/Z28 hood than an ill-fitting piece of crap $200 hood. Make sure to do your research, because most aftermarket hoods are not what I'd call improvements. Most of them make a perfectly nice looking Camaro look like something that's been in a wreck.
Most aftermarket hoods do NOT fit as nice as fbodyrs96's hood. Most look like crap around the headlight buckets, don't match the curve of the fenders, and a major problem I see all the time is the alignment by the windshield not being right.

I have been looking at this seller for a LONG TIME.. this is a GREAT deal "IF" it truly fits. I have called this seller and he claims that it will in fact bolt right on.. he even has a cell number to call him and you can speak directly with him... this is a great price and indeed if it is a true bolt on a great find... does anyone have one of these??? if so how do they fit?
